Overview
The Knowledgebase is a library designed to help your customers answer their own questions with standard information, how-to's, and instructions. Sometimes, you may want to add files as an attachment to your Support Center knowledgebase articles and may wonder what's the limit of the file size and what type of files you can attach.
Information
The attachment file size of the Support Center knowledgebase article would depend upon the resources available on the server hosting the helpdesk.
As to what type of files you can upload as attachments, there is no restriction. You can upload pretty much any type of file you want as long as it's within the size limit.
Attachment File Size Limit (Download)
For Kayako Classic download licenses, the value of the attachment file size depends upon the PHP parameters mentioned below:
post_max_size
upload_max_filesize
NOTE: These parameters are directly proportional to the attachment file size. The higher the value, the more resources are required by PHP. Therefore, the settings for the parameters mentioned above need to be increased in accordance with the server resources. Please contact your server administrators for assistance in modifying the above parameters.
