You are planning to set up or migrate your Kayako Classic instance, and wonder what is the recommended memory size for the database considering it will run in a separate server/infrastructure than the application.

Besides the expected memory use by the Operating System, having 512 MB of RAM is the minimum requirement; nevertheless, 1 GB or more is recommended for the database to run smoothly. Having said that, note that we do not provide specific guides or assistance pertaining to the hardware, network, and other infrastructure-related components since this should be handled by your in-house administrators.
