Timestamps Are Displayed in UTC When a Report Is Exported in Excel Format

Overview

You might notice an issue when you export a report in Excel format (i.e., .xls), the system converts the timestamp (date and time) to a UTC time and does not use the local timezone.

Exporting the report as .csv or .html is fine and no issues with the timestamp. This issue is a known bug in lower versions and the issue was fixed on Kayako Classic version 4.93.11. This article explains how to fix this issue.

Solution

If you are experiencing this issue and you are using a version that is older than Kayako Classic 4.93.11, you need to upgrade to the latest version.
