This KB article will guide you through the process of preventing the staff from trashing tickets.

Process

You can prevent this by restricting Staff Team permissions.

To do so, follow the steps given below:                                                                                                            

1. From the Admin Control Panel, navigate to Manage Teams > Team > Permissions:Staff. 
2. Under Tickets set Send tickets to trash to No.
3. Click Update to save changes.
